Hanscom Air Force Base Selects SAK for Drinking Water Surveillance Program
The United States Air Force recently awarded SAK Environmental a contract at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA to perform drinking water quality compliance monitoring, base-wide. The Hanscom AFB public water system serves a population of approximately 12,000 and is classified by the State of Massachusetts as a Consecutive Community Water System. HAFB receives all of its potable water from the adjacent Towns of Lexington and Bedford. Monitoring will be performed in accordance with State and federal regulations, and Air Force Directives, which include monitoring for PFAS/PFOA compounds.
“SAK was awarded from this competitive selection process based on our proven track record in environmental management and cost effectiveness” says Stephen A. Sakakeeny, Principal at SAK. "We’re privileged to support the US armed forces and their families in this way”.
